Have you resolved to take your lunch for the health of your pocketbook and waistline? Use up all those leftovers and keep away from fattening quick meals? This is just what you need to get going.
These lunch bags are a great design with lots of good features – big flat bottom so that your lunch doesn’t get sideways and spill when you pick it up.
Insulated to keep things fresh and best of all they are eco-friendly in multiple ways. The washable canvas is Vinyl Free – always a good thing. and any time you use a reusable container, that’s awesome.
We also have matching tote bags and hats.
bead work by Janet Olivia Henry
I am so thrilled to be showing Janet Henry’s beaded pieces in the Wee Gallery from now til the end of the year.
Janet teaches in Brooklyn but has a studio in Durham where she works on a variety of projects. My favorite are the intricately crafted and complex beaded pieces. It is rare to see so much expressed in these material and Janet misses no opportunity to make them speak. The range and combination of beads, in themselves interesting, are made more so by the dialogue that takes place between the shapes and colors and the minutia of the knot work. In Janet’s larger pieces, she spells out words with the beads. It really pays to spend some time looking at them closely.
Janet is a very lovely person and there will be a reception for the show during the 2nd Friday Artwalk, tonight NOVEMBER 13th, from 6-9. I hope you will come by to meet the artist and see this beautiful work.
